How Cloudyboard sped up and professionalized its shipping with Sendcloud
Cloudyboard makes it comfortable to work away from the desk, with custom-designed laptop cushions made from high-quality materials. The lap desk combines bamboo wood with a soft cushion, keeping laptops from overheating and slipping on the couch, your legs or a terrace.
To build the best possible product, the founders first presented it at markets to gather honest feedback. After some setbacks, their first real successes came at Christmas markets, where the product was enthusiastically received and some customers became friends who return every year.
CHALLENGE
A slow, manual shipping process
Cloudyboard’s biggest challenge was the time its shipping process took. Labels had to be entered by hand for every shipment, and even the first carrier contract didn’t solve it, since everything still had to be typed manually. On top of that, many customers wanted to choose the carrier themselves, and as cart sizes grew the team lacked an overview of which shipping method was cheapest for each parcel size.

SOLUTION
Faster labels and carrier choice with Sendcloud
Sendcloud was the rescue. After discovering the software by chance and arranging a call, Cloudyboard first saw the main benefit in noticeably lowering shipping costs, and only later realized how much work label creation at the push of a button saves. That freed the team to focus more on customers and service.
In the warehouse, any employee can print shipping labels in just a few clicks, which is the basis for much faster shipping. All orders are transferred automatically, so nothing gets lost, and the team can answer customer questions faster. As a next step, Cloudyboard plans to connect its own shipping contracts to Sendcloud, so customers can choose their preferred carrier at checkout without any extra work.

Delivery speed turned out to be one of the main reasons for positive customer reviews, alongside product quality. Especially for Christmas gifts, fast shipping is essential, and that needs a simple, clear process. With Sendcloud, Cloudyboard was able to ship every order on time.
